Cumbernauld Old Parish Church’s Day-Trippers (aka ‘have Bus Pass will travel’) are off to the Hunterian Museum and Rennie Mackintosh house on Wednesday 16th August.
Anyone wishing to come along should meet at Stance 6 in Cumbernauld Bus Station at 10.00am. Just bring your bus pass (and, yes, those not yet in possession of a bus pass are also welcome!) and a packed lunch.
If you would like to join us, please contact Lorna Crawford on 01236 728901, or email lorna.crawford123 [at] hotmail.co.uk as we need to pre-arrange our visit to the Rennie Mackintosh house.

A Warm Welcome
Rev Elspeth McKay was inducted as the new minister of Cumbernauld Old Parish Church on Thursday 3rd August at a service in the Parish Church. That was followed by a social event in the Village Hall when we all had a chance to ‘meet & greet’ her more informally.
One of the memorable features of the evening was a wonderful cake – the wording around the edges reads “Cumbernauld Old Parish Church welcomes Reverend Elspeth McKay” – but we had enjoyed the sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones and cake so much the cake was left over until our service on Sunday!
We are delighted to welcome Elspeth and her family into our church and community and hope they feel very much at home here.
We wish to place on record our thanks to our Interim Moderator for the past two years, Rev Grace Saunders, and also to our Locum, Rev Marion Perry who served us so conscientiously during her time with us. We wish them both every blessing for the future.
