The Admin Group at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is urgently looking for volunteers to join the team to help with the production of the weekly Church News-sheet and printing of our quarterly magazine. If you can use a PC or laptop, have a working knowledge of MS Word and are willing to join our team, which operates on a rota basis, then please contact Janice at (01236) 733510. This year, Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be supporting Fairtrade Fortnight when we will be inviting people to ‘Come On In’ and see what Fairtrade is all about.
Put simply, Fairtrade is about ensuring producers and workers in the developing world get better prices and decent working conditions; it therefore supports local sustainability and fair terms of trade.
The Fundraising Team at Cumbernauld Old have been busy planning events for the first part of this year. More details of each will be published nearer the time but, for the moment, invite you to put some dates in your diaries.
Cumbernauld Old Parish Church would like to thank everyone who donated their coffee jars (and other containers!) full of small coins recently. The contents have now been counted and the Treasurer was delighted to be able to send a cheque for £379.97 to Mary’s Meals. Thank-you all once again for your amazing generosity!
