Fair Trade update

The Fairtrade group at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is happy to announce that the sum of £215.88 was raised in March at our stalls of Fairtrade goods provided by Gavin’s Mill in Milngavie. In recognition of Fairtrade Fortnight, we took a first successful step in our journey as a Church community towards supporting the ethos of fairer trade and the principles of the Fairtrade Foundation.

We would like to make this a regular feature of our Church life and would invite you to support us by visiting our stall again when we hope to run it each month.

By choosing Fairtrade you can make a huge difference to the lives of people in some of the poorest communities in the world. We are looking for volunteers to be part of our Fairtrade group to help organise future events and are particularly keen to hear from bakers who would be willing to try out some recipes using Fairtrade products. If you are interested in being part of this group in any way please speak to Caroline Edwardson, Sandra Graham, Ivar Struthers or Anne Morrison.
