The Fundraising Group at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church met recently to firm up plans for the Summer Fair. This will take place on Saturday 16th June from 1.30pm to 3.30pm in the Manse grounds. The entry fee is £2 for adults and includes tea / coffee and a scone with cream and jam. There is no entry fee for children under 16 years of age.
We have a number of fun activities, stalls and live music planned and need some help with donations for the following:
‘New to You’ stall
We would also appreciate donations of quality items for the home or garden which you no longer need but are in good condition and which other people could still use. No bric-a-brac please!
We would also like to offer face painting for the children. Is this something any of you could do, or know of anyone who would be willing to help on the day? Please speak to one of the Fundraising Group if you can help.
We would also appreciate help to set up the event on the Friday evening 15th June, especially to help set up the gazebos and seating area. We will be meeting in the manse car park at 6.30pm, so it would be great if as many men and ladies as possible could come along then. Many thanks!
The members of the Fundraising Group are Elizabeth Snedden, Ann McLeish, Anne Morrison, Janice Smillie, Caroline Edwardson and Anne Murphy. Please speak to any of them if you can help in any way to make the day a success and raise some much needed funds for the Church.
