Harvest Thanksgiving

Next Sunday, 6th October, marks the annual Harvest Thanksgiving service at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church.

We are inviting those attending the service to bring a gift of some tinned food or dried foodstuffs, such as rice or pasta, which will be passed on to the local foodbank co-ordinated by our friends and partners at Cornerstone House. Thank-you!

Sunday’s worship will also incorporate the annual Dedication Service for the 1st Cumbernauld Boys’ Brigade Company, and we look forward to welcoming the Boys, officers and helpers, as well as parents, friends and supporters of the Company to our service.

Our morning worship service starts at 11.00am and everyone is very welcome.

Game-changer

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is planning to start a new Bible Study / Discussion Group fortnightly on Thursdays, starting on 31st October. The title of the series is Jesus, the Game-changer and more information is available on a sign-up sheet in the vestibule of the church.

If you are interested in attending, please write your name on the sheet and indicate whether an afternoon or evening start-time is preferable. You can sign up for all the sessions, or just come whenever you can, as all the sessions are ‘stand-alone’.

We’ll also post another update online nearer the time with more details.

Cookie Time at Cumbernauld Old

We would like to invite you all to join us for cookies, tea and coffee after Morning Worship on Sunday 8th September (i.e. this coming Sunday).

Not only will you be able to enjoy delicious homemade cookies, you will be able to purchase a jar with the dry ingredients for various cookies with instructions to bake and enjoy them at home. You might want to buy more than one to enjoy a variety of cookies!

The fundraising group would like to thank everyone who donated jam jars for our September fundraiser.

Worship at Cumbernauld Old takes place in the Parish Church in the Village at 11.00am and everyone is welcome,
