Worship for Sunday 20th December

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church warmly invites you to share in our worship service for Sunday 20th December, the Fourth Sunday of Advent. Worship is led by our minister, Rev Elspeth McKay and is available here or from the link below.

Although the service is available to view at any time, why not join us around 11am on Sunday morning, a time which many of us keep as our time for worship even although we can’t be together in person at the moment.

Worship from Cumbernauld Old Parish Church for Sunday 20th December

As with all our worship services, this Sunday’s service is available to all, so please feel free to share with any family or friends. Please also check out our Facebook page for all the latest news from Cumbernauld Old.

Christmas at Cumbernauld Old

You are more than welcome to join us for our Watchnight Service on Christmas Eve and our Christmas Day Worship, both of which will be online this year. We’ll post links for these on our website and Facebook page later this week.

Advent Calendar

There are still doors to be opened on our online Advent Calendar. Entries will be posted every day until 24th December on our Facebook page with links also on our church website. Each day there will be a Bible reading and reflection and some days will have art, music or video as well. Why not pop over and join us as we journey together towards the manger.

Journey to Bethlehem

Follow the Christmas story on our interactive trail called Journey to Bethlehem. There are twelve numbered posters located around Cumbernauld Village, each with a picture from the Christmas story and a line from the Bible. The posters also have a code which you can scan on your mobile phone to read the relevant Bible passage. From that link you can also download an activity which can be done by younger people. Journey to Bethlehem can also be followed from the comfort of your own home – here’s the link to do that.

Gift Service

The compassion and generosity of all who contributed to our Gift Service last Sunday was wonderful to behold. A marvellous array of gifts for all ages and festive foods as well as over £500 in cash donations was passed on to Bethlehem House of Bread, our local food bank. Read more on our website.

Rainbow Service

Our annual time of remembrance and reflection for those who have been bereaved, whether recently or some time ago, is also available online. You can view it from https://vimeo.com/488252938
