Fairtrade Fortnight

This year’s Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 22 February until 7 March and has the theme, “Choose the World You Want“.
Fairtrade Fortnight 2021 aims to highlight the growing challenges that climate change brings to farmers and workers in the communities Fairtrade works with by listening to their voices and prioritising what they need to respond to the environmental crises unfolding in already vulnerable communities..
We can all play our part in this process by supporting Fairtrade and buying Fairtrade goods where possible. As a Fairtrade Church, Cumbernauld Old will be playing our part with our worship service on Sunday 7th March having a distinctive Fairtrade theme

Kirk Session Meeting

The Kirk Session will meet by Zoom and telephone on Thursday 11th March at 7.30pm.
An agenda and the minutes of our previous meeting have been sent electronically to everyone for whom we have an email address and by post to other members of the Kirk Session.

Songs of Praise Fund-raiser

The fund-raising team are organising another ‘Songs of Praise’ fund-raising event which you will be able to watch online in the near future. This time the idea is that all the hymns, etc will come from those not in the current hymn-book, Church Hymnary 4 (CH4).
So, if you have a favourite hymn from CH3, the Revised Church Hymnary, Songs of God’s People, etc. and would like us to include it in our Songs of Praise then please let us know.
We’ll publish details of the event nearer the time – at the moment, though, we’re just on the lookout for material to be included. Thanks for your help!
