Worship for Sunday 21st March

You are warmly invited to join us online in Sunday worship from Cumbernauld Old Parish Church. Worship is led by our minister, Rev Elspeth McKay and is available here or from the video link below.

While the service is available to watch at any time, why not take some time out on Sunday morning around 11am, our usual time of worship when we are gathered in the church building and many of us still keep as our regular worship time.

Trustees’ Meeting

A meeting of the Trustees of Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be held on Zoom and by telephone on Sunday 28th March at 3.00pm. The purpose of this meeting is to approve the Annual Report and Accounts, copies of which will be sent by email or post to those concerned. Details of how to join and participate in this meeting will also be issued to all Trustees, i.e. members of the Kirk Session and Congregational Board.

Easter Egg Appeal

Easter Egg Appeal 2021As we have done in previous years, we will be collecting Easter Eggs for distribution by Bethlehem House of Bread based at Cornerstone to those who otherwise wouldn’t be receiving one.
If you would like to donate an Easter Egg (or more than one!) please drop them off at the Manse (next door to the Church in the Village) by Palm Sunday, the 28th March.
If you would prefer to donate cash, that would be great too. Please post an envelope through the door at the Manse. We’ll take your donations to Cornerstone where they will ensure the money goes where it is most needed this Easter-time.
If you would like to donate a Fair Trade Easter egg, they are available through Traidcraft. Thank you as always for your generosity!

Easter Fund-raiser

Easter fund-raiser 2021The fundraising and craft groups have been very busy making beautiful treats for Easter – ideal for a wee novelty gift.
Beehives and bobble hats cover a Chocolate Orange, while Cadbury Creme Eggs® are covered in a host of lovely animals; mice, bees, hedgehogs, ducks, chickens, sheep and ladybirds.
The Chocolate Oranges cost £3 and the Creme Egg animals only £1. All come gift wrapped and delivered to your doorstep.
As everywhere, it has been a difficult time for our church and the fundraising group are doing their best to help keep our finances healthy so please give us your support. If you want more details or place an order, please phone Elizabeth (01236) 726451 or leave your details in a comment below. Thanks!
