Exciting news for Cumbernauld Old Parish Church! After ordering it in May, and several hiccups later, finally BT Openreach are installing broadband into the Parish Church. Our 17th Century building is joining the 21st Century.
This installation will mean that we can have a stable connection for live-streaming our worship services. All we need to do now is to order the live-streaming equipment and then test it out! We’re not there yet, but that’s another building block in place. We’ll keep you posted.
Following the Scottish Government’s decision to move the whole of the country to Level 0, we are delighted to announce that we have been given permission by Glasgow Presbytery to allow up to 48 people to attend worship at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church this coming Sunday (25th July) and that we can once again sing hymns in church, albeit while wearing a face covering.
So we look forward to welcoming you to our worship service at 11am on Sunday when we can praise God together. You still need to let us know beforehand, so please contact Anne on on 01236 726875 or 07719 290042 to reserve your place. Also, just a reminder to please stay at home if you have Covid19 symptoms, that face coverings need to be worn during worship and that one-metre distancing will apply, except for family groups.
We’ll post details of our pre-recorded worship service for Sunday later in the week.

Glasgow Presbytery
On Wednesday 30th June the Church of Scotland congregations in Cumbernauld, including Cumbernauld Old, transferred from the Presbytery of Falkirk to the Presbytery of Glasgow. As we say our farewells to Falkirk we wish them every success and God’s blessing for the future, and as we join Glasgow we look forward to this new venture in God’s plan and hope it will be a fruitful time for us all.
