Light In The Darkness banner

Sunday 28th November is the First Sunday in Advent and Cumbernauld Old looks forward to welcoming you to worshipping with us in the Parish Church at 11.00am. Worship will be led by our Interim Moderator, Rev Julie Moodie and all are welcome.

There’s now no need to book in advance, but please observe the current government laws and guidelines by wearing a face covering (unless exempt), leaving your contact details for Test and Protect, using hand sanitiser and keeping a safe distance between yourself / your family group and other worshippers while in the church sanctuary.
Thank-you for your help and understanding!

Our worship service at 11.00am will also be ‘live-streamed’ on our Facebook page for those who are unable to attend. Please note that you don’t need to sign-up to Facebook to view these services, they are available to all  Because they are ‘live’ you will need to watch them at 11.00am though as we’re not keeping a recording.

Church of Scotland Advent Calendar

The Church of Scotland has produced a series of resources for Advent 2021.
One of these resources is an Advent Calendar to which one can sign up to receive an email each day with a prayer, video, reflection, etc. from one of our churches or ministers. You can sign up for that, if you wish, at https://thechurchofscotland.adventcalendar.com

Annual Gift Service

Our annual Christmas Gift Service will be held next Sunday, Sunday 5th December and, instead of toys, toiletries, etc. as we’ve donated in previous years, Cornerstone have asked that this year we donate gift vouchers or gift cards.

One such card is a One4all card, available in most shops and Post Offices and which can also be used by the recipient in most shops. Other cards are, of course, available!
Donations will be distributed by our friends in Cornerstone to people in need before Christmas. Thank you, as always, for your generous support to our community..
