Worship on Sunday 27th March

We invite you to join us in worship at Cumbernauld Old on Sunday 27th March, the Fourth Sunday in Lent. The service will take place in the Parish Church at 11.00am and will be led by Ivar Struthers, one of our elders and a Reader with the Church of Scotland.
We also hope to be able to livestream this service and you should be able to join us online via our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.

We are now able to ease some of the restrictions that have been in place for a while. There is no longer a requirement to maintain social distancing, however we invite those sitting in the side (i.e. east and west) aisles to leave some room for the benefit of those who would prefer a little more space around them. Also, from this week we will no longer be asking people for their contact details, although we would still encourage people to take a lateral flow test before coming to church.
Please note that the wearing of face coverings is still compulsory while in the church, unless medically exempt.

Easter Egg Appeal

As we have done in previous years, we are inviting people to donate a chocolate Easter Egg to be distributed via our friends at the food bank at Cornerstone House to families who might not otherwise receive one.
If you wish and are able to help, please bring along a chocolate Easter Egg to our morning worship service at church on Sunday 3rd April. We’ll collect the donations and pass them on to Cornerstone. Thank you!

Worship on Sunday 20th March

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church invites you to join us in worship on Sunday 20th March. The service will take place in the Parish Church at the usual time of 11.00am and will be led by Ivar Struthers, one of our elders and a Reader with the Church of Scotland. We hope you can join us!

In line with government and Church of Scotland guidance we will remove the need for social distancing in the north aisle, but will retain it in the east and west aisles for those who would prefer a little more space around them. The wearing of face coverings is still compulsory while in the church, unless medically exempt, and we would encourage people to continue to take a lateral flow test beforehand and leave their contact details for Test and Protect.

We also hope to be able to livestream this service and you should be able to join our service online via our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.

Easter Eggs Appeal

As we have done in previous years, we are inviting donations of chocolate Easter Eggs to be distributed via our friends at the food bank at Cornerstone House to families who might not otherwise receive one. If you wish and are able to help, please bring along a chocolate Easter Egg to our morning worship service at church on Sunday 3rd April. We’ll collect the donations and take them up to Cornerstone later that afternoon. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Covid19 Update:

From this Sunday 13th March we ask that everyone still observes the one way system on entering the church sanctuary, however people will now be able to leave at the end of the service by whatever door is convenient.
Then, from next Sunday 20th March, we will remove the need for social distancing in the north aisle, but will retain it in the east and west aisles for those who would prefer a little more space around them.

Please note that the wearing of face coverings is still compulsory, although that is expected to change over the next few weeks. Likewise the requirement for people to take lateral flow tests beforehand and leave their contact details for Test and Protect.
