You are welcome to join us at Cumbernauld Old for worship on Sunday 6th March, the First Sunday in Lent, in the Parish Church at the usual time of 11.00am. Worship this week will be led by Ivar Struthers, one of our elders and a Reader with the Church of Scotland.
We also hope to to livestream this service and you should be able to join our service online via our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.
Please note that, until we are told otherwise by the Church of Scotland, we are still asking everyone to adhere to the Covid guidelines, i.e. everyone attending church should take a Lateral Flow Test beforehand and, while at church, wear a face covering (unless exempt), leave their contact details for Test and Protect, use the hand sanitiser provided and keep a safe distance between yourself / your family group and other worshippers while in the church sanctuary. We encourage everyone to use all areas of the sanctuary, including the east and west aisles, and follow the one-way system when arriving and leaving. Thank-you for your help and understanding!
Christian Aid Afghanistan Emergency Appeal
At our worship service on Sunday 6th March we’ll have a number of Christian Aid Lent cookery books for sale. The suggested donation for these is £5 and the proceeds of the sale will go to Christian Aid’s Afghanistan Emergency appeal. There will also be some Christian Aid envelopes available if you simply want to make a donation and you can also do so here on the Christian Aid website – https://www.christianaid.org.uk/appeals/emergencies/afghanistan-crisis-appeal.
(We’ll post a link to the latest DEC appeal for Ukraine over the weekend)
‘Walking Humbly’ into Lent
