Cumbernauld Old Parish Church invites you to join us in worship on Sunday 20th March. The service will take place in the Parish Church at the usual time of 11.00am and will be led by Ivar Struthers, one of our elders and a Reader with the Church of Scotland. We hope you can join us!
In line with government and Church of Scotland guidance we will remove the need for social distancing in the north aisle, but will retain it in the east and west aisles for those who would prefer a little more space around them. The wearing of face coverings is still compulsory while in the church, unless medically exempt, and we would encourage people to continue to take a lateral flow test beforehand and leave their contact details for Test and Protect.
We also hope to be able to livestream this service and you should be able to join our service online via our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.
Easter Eggs Appeal
As we have done in previous years, we are inviting donations of chocolate Easter Eggs to be distributed via our friends at the food bank at Cornerstone House to families who might not otherwise receive one. If you wish and are able to help, please bring along a chocolate Easter Egg to our morning worship service at church on Sunday 3rd April. We’ll collect the donations and take them up to Cornerstone later that afternoon. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
Christian Aid Afghanistan Appeal
We are delighted to announce that a total of £112 was raised for the Christian Aid Afghanistan Emergency Appeal through the recent sale of Lent cookery books and donations. The money has been deposited directly with Christian Aid. Many thanks to all who donated.
