You are warmly invited to worship with us at Cumbernauld Old on Sunday 12th June. Our worship service in the Parish Church starts at 11.00am and will be led this week by Ivar Struthers, one of our elders and a Reader with the Church of Scotland.
The service will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.
Thanks to everyone who contributed in any way to our get together last Sunday afternoon. To those who helped set up the garden, those who served and tidied away, the craft group for knitting the bunting, Rae for her delicious baking and Alan Scobie (butcher) for donating the sausage rolls. We think everyone enjoyed the opportunity for a catch up and the food went down well too!!
Post-worship teas and coffees
Now that restrictions have been relaxed once again, the Kirk Session has agreed that we should reintroduce serving tea and coffee in the Session House after the service. So many people have missed the opportunity for a cuppa and catch up.
But we need volunteers to make this happen! If you are willing to be part of a tea rota, please speak to Elizabeth Snedden any Sunday. Hopefully your turn would only come around every five or six weeks – the more volunteers the better!
Congregational Board
The next meeting of the Congregational Board will be held in the Church on Thursday 16th June at 2pm. We ask that any Board members who are unable to attend would please let Gillian MacDonald know as soon as possible.
Singing Group
Lynn Strang, one of our organists, has said she would be interested in starting a singing group. It would be purely for fun and enjoyment, and we would sing a variety of popular music. If you want to find out more or are interested in taking part please speak to Elizabeth Snedden any Sunday.
