We are delighted to be hosting a concert on Thursday 28th July at 7:30pm in the church by the very talented local musician, David Swan, this time accompanied by a traditional folk singer from Norway, Isa Homgren. Due to an unexpected change in their schedule they are able to share the ‘Sounds of a Norwegian Summer’ in Cumbernauld Old, so please come along to enjoy what promises to be a very enjoyable evening. No ticket is required, entry by donation.

Church Magazine

We will soon be producing the next edition of the Church magazine. If you have any news or articles for publication, including details of any events happening in September and beyond, please pass them to Ivar Struthers or email them to copcnews@outlook.com by Sunday 7th August. Thanks!

Smart Savers

The fundraising group has relaunched the ‘Smart Savers’ project to raise money for church funds. You are asked to take a tube of Smarties from the vestibule, enjoy the sweeties then fill the tube with 20p and return it to any of the office bearers. Members have continued to hand them in throughout lockdown raising hundreds of pounds for the church.

Our website has details of our proposed new Singing Group and Book Group, both of which we hope will be up-and-running in early September as well as contact details for all that’s going on at Cumbernauld Old. You can also keep up with all the latest news from Cumbernauld Old on our Facebook page or on Twitter.

Do you like to read and talking to others about books? Then Cumbernauld Old might just have created the group for you!

We are starting a Book Group – starting on Tuesday 6th September at 2pm in Cumbernauld Old Parish Church, the group will meet monthly thereafter and each new book will be chosen by the members of the group.

The group will be supported by the local library and led by Moira, one of the librarians, so there’s no need for anyone to buy the books unless they want to More details on our Facebook page or leave us a message below.
