Please join us for worship at Cumbernauld Old on Sunday 7th August. Our service will take place in the Parish Church at 11.00am and will be led this week by David Nicholson DCS. Everyone welcome!
The service will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.
We have now restarted serving teas and coffees after our services, so why not join us for a cuppa and a blether in the Session House after our worship?
New groups starting soon
We are delighted that two new groups from the church and community will be starting in September. The first meeting of the Book Club takes place on Tuesday 6th September at 2pm in the Session House and will meet on the first Tuesday of the month thereafter.
The following day, Wednesday 7th September, our new singing group meets at 7pm in church under the leadership of one of our organists Lynn Strang. All welcome.
If you want more information on either of these groups or would like to join us, please just get in touch by leaving a message below.
Baby Bank Appeal
We are taking part in the Fill-a-Bag Appeal for Cumbernauld & Kilsyth Baby Bank and have already passed on a full bags of donations to them. We now have a new bag to fill, so if you can help with items for wee ones, such as bubble bath, nappy cream, vests, socks, pyjamas, etc. that would be much appreciated. For older kids, we’d like items such as pants, socks, deodorant, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc and the third request is for school essentials such as pencil cases, school tights, white polos, white and blue shirts and blouses. Thank you!
Bruadar Duo concert
Cumbernauld Old is delighted to host a concert by the Bruadar Duo (one of whom is one of our organists) in the Parish Church on Friday 19th August at 7.30pm. Featuring classical guitar and flute, there will be music from Scotland, England and South America.
Entry is free, but donations will be appreciated. Mark the date in your diaries!
More information at email@example.com – we’ll also post something about this concert on our blog in a day or two.
