You are warmly invited to join us for morning worship at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church on Sunday 8th January at 11.00am.
The service will be led this week by Ivar Struthers, one of our elders and a Reader in the Church of Scotland. Everyone welcome!
Sunday’s service will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page for those who are unable to be with us in person
Used Stamps Appeal
Once again we are inviting you to support the Church of Scotland World Mission Used Stamp Appeal. There’s a collection box for used postage stamps in the church vestibule and that will remain in place until the end of January.
The aim of this year’s Appeal is to raise enough funds to support a pastor in our partner church the National Evangelical Synod of Syria and Lebanon (NESSL) for a full year’s salary. The economic crisis in the country has struck hard and the Synod is struggling to pay salaries for pastors which range between £100 to £150 per month.
Please contact Ivar Struthers or visit the Church of Scotland website if you would like to find out more.
The next meeting of the Book Group will take place on Tuesday 10th January at 2pm in the Parish Church.
The Craft Group will resume on Thursday 12th January and meet weekly in the Session House at 1pm.
The Craft Group would like to thank everyone who bought their Christmas Crafts which raised £289 to support local charities including Cornerstone Food Bank and Cumbernauld Baby Bank.
The next meeting of the Congregational Board takes place on Thursday 19th January at 2pm in the Parish Church.
