You are warmly invited to join us at Cumbernauld Old for worship on Sunday 5th February at 11.00am when our service in the Parish Church will be led by Rev Fiona Crawford.
Sunday’s service will also be live-streamed on our Facebook page for those who are unable to be with us in person. We hope you can join us.
Please note that Rev Fiona Crawford will be on holiday from 6th – 12th February inclusive.
Rev James Gemmell will be on standby for any emergencies during that time (see the Contact Us page on our website for details) and, of course, our Deacon, Valerie Cuthbertson is also available to deal with any pastoral issues.
Property Team and Convener
We are looking for a small team of volunteers from the church community, and / or family members or friends, who would be interested in taking on and sharing property tasks within the church properties. We are also looking for a volunteer who would be willing to take on the position of Property Convener as a point of contact for the church and liaison with Glasgow Presbytery as required. Please get in touch if you are able to help or would like more details.
Book Group
The next meeting of the Book Group will take place on Tuesday 7th February at 2.00pm in the church.
Adult Fellowship Group
The first meeting of the Kildrum / St.Mungo’s and Cumbernauld Old Parish Churches Adult Fellowship group is on Wednesday 8th February at 2.00pm, with Rev James Gemmell, one of our Team Ministers, as the guest speaker.
The group will meet in the Session Room at St Mungo’s Parish Church, usually on the first Wednesday of every month, and is open to everyone. We’ll put the full programme into our next Church newsletter and post the upcoming meetings on the What’s On pages of our website as well as on social media, so watch this space!
Banking Team
The Banking Team at the church is looking for new members. The tasks are not too onerous: you would be expected to fill in the bank deposit for the cash and any cheques which are counted by the welcome team every week, and take it to the Royal Bank at the Town Centre the next day, then give the pay-in slip to Janice Smillie at your earliest convenience.
The count takes approximately 20 minutes after the worship service each Sunday. Full instructions are available in the Laird’s Loft and would be emailed to you, and one of the existing team would help you to begin with. Please speak to Anne Morrison if you would like to join the team.
