Easter Egg Appeal latest

Now that we have counted, bagged and delivered your Easter Egg donations, we’d just like to say again what an amazing response to our recent Easter Egg Appeal! It may have been our biggest collection of chocolate eggs ever with almost 200 eggs gathered in.

Once again a heartfelt thank- you to all who supported this venture. All the eggs are safely on their way to Bethlehem House of Bread for distribution locally. It‘s truly wonderful and humbling to see such an outpouring of love and concern for others.

Easter Eggs Appeal update

Wow! Just wow!
Thank you so much for your massively generous response to our Easter Eggs appeal. We’ll pass all your chocolate eggs onto the Bethlehem House of Bread food bank over the next few days. (Thanks, Sandra, for the photo.)

And thanks, too, for your response to our Fair Trade service and to everyone who planned it and took part.

Easter Egg Appeal

As we have done in previous years Cumbernauld Old Parish Church is making an appeal for donations of chocolate Easter Eggs.

If you are able to do so, please bring a chocolate egg to our worship service on Sunday 26th March or give to any member of our church who will bring it along for you.

Where possible, might you consider buying Fairtrade eggs? There are a few brands out there, including Divine and the Real Easter Egg. Look out for the Fairtrade logo.

All donations will be passed on to our friends at the Bethlehem House of Bread food bank at Cornerstone House and distributed from there. Your continuing kindness and generosity is always greatly appreciated, so thank you in advance.

Easter Egg donations

A massive thank you to everyone who has donated Easter eggs for the House of Bread food bank at Cornerstone. Everyone has been so generous and we are genuinely humbled by the number of donations received.

There is still time to drop eggs at the Manse as we will be taking them to Cornerstone on Sunday afternoon. Likewise, if you wish to make a cash donation to the food bank, please pop the money in an envelope, seal it and drop it through the Manse letterbox. We’ll take the monetary donations up to Cornerstone when we are dropping off the eggs. Thank you once more!

Easter Appeal thanks

180325_025 Easter Egg Collection, Cumbernauld Old Parish ChurchCumbernauld Old Parish Church would like to thank everyone who supported our annual Easter Egg Appeal. There was a huge response to our appeal for people to donate chocolate Easter Eggs for distribution to needy children through our local food bank. A whole car-load of eggs was collected and it was both wonderful and humbling to see such a generous response from our congregation.

Thanks, too, to everyone who hand-knitted ‘chicks’ over the last few weeks and those who provided the small chocolate cream- or caramel-filled eggs to go inside them. They were an amazing ‘hit’ with everyone who saw them and supply barely matched demand! By Easter Day we reckon that about £87 was raised by this fantastic idea.
