Most of the restrictions that have been in place for a while can now be relaxed. However, while there is no longer a requirement to maintain social distancing, we invite those sitting in the side (i.e. east and west) aisles to leave some room for the benefit of those who would prefer a little more space around them.
We also plan to livestream this service on our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.
Easter Egg Appeal
A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated chocolate Easter Eggs at our morning worship service on Sunday 3rd April. These have been passed on to our friends at the Bethlehem House of Bread food bank at Cornerstone House for distribution to families where they will be much appreciated. Thanks again!
Today is the first day of Holy Week. The excitement of Palm Sunday is now over and Jesus’ face is firmly set towards the cross. Please join our journey to Easter morning with the Holy Week reflections published every day from Cumbernauld Old.
While you are welcome to watch this video at any time, we suggest you take a few moments out in the evening to watch and reflect.
Welcome to our online worship service from Cumbernauld Old Parish Church for Palm / Passion Sunday 2021. Worship is led by our minister, Rev Elspeth McKay and is available here or from the video link below.
You are more than welcome to watch and join in our worship at any time, but why not set aside some time around 11am on Sunday morning, which is our usual time of worship when we are able to gather in person and many of us still keep as our time together, even although we may be in different locations for now.
You may be aware that churches are now able to reopen for public worship, subject to government guidelines about social distancing, etc. We will let you know when we plan to open our doors for Sunday worship ‘in person’ on our website and our social media channels, so please watch this space for further news.
All our worship services are available to everyone and all are welcome, so please feel free to share with any family or friends. Please also check out our Facebook page for all the latest news from Cumbernauld Old.
A meeting of the Trustees of Cumbernauld Old Parish Church will be held on Zoom and by telephone on Sunday 28th March at 3.00pm. The purpose of this meeting is to approve the Annual Report and Accounts, copies of which will be sent by email or post to those concerned. Details of how to join and participate in this meeting will also be issued to all Trustees, i.e. members of the Kirk Session and Congregational Board.
Holy Week Worship
During Holy Week (from Monday 29th March until Friday 2nd April) you are invited to watch a service of reflections from Cumbernauld Old each day online. They will be posted on Facebook and on our blog each morning, but our advice is, if you can, to watch them in the evening. Again, please feel free to share them with family and friends too if you would like to.
