You are invited to join us for morning worship on Sunday 10th April, Palm Sunday. The service will take place in the Parish Church at 11.00am and will be led by Rev. Phyllis Wilson. Everyone welcome!
Most of the restrictions that have been in place for a while can now be relaxed. However, while there is no longer a requirement to maintain social distancing, we invite those sitting in the side (i.e. east and west) aisles to leave some room for the benefit of those who would prefer a little more space around them.
We also plan to livestream this service on our Facebook page at 11am on Sunday if you can’t be with us in person.
Easter Egg Appeal
A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated chocolate Easter Eggs at our morning worship service on Sunday 3rd April. These have been passed on to our friends at the Bethlehem House of Bread food bank at Cornerstone House for distribution to families where they will be much appreciated. Thanks again!
Welcome to our online worship service from Cumbernauld Old Parish Church for Palm / Passion Sunday 2021. Worship is led by our minister, Rev Elspeth McKay and is available here or from the video link below.
You are more than welcome to watch and join in our worship at any time, but why not set aside some time around 11am on Sunday morning, which is our usual time of worship when we are able to gather in person and many of us still keep as our time together, even although we may be in different locations for now.
You may be aware that churches are now able to reopen for public worship, subject to government guidelines about social distancing, etc. We will let you know when we plan to open our doors for Sunday worship ‘in person’ on our website and our social media channels, so please watch this space for further news.

Holy Week Worship
During Holy Week (from Monday 29th March until Friday 2nd April) you are invited to watch a service of reflections from Cumbernauld Old each day online. They will be posted on Facebook and on our blog each morning, but our advice is, if you can, to watch them in the evening. Again, please feel free to share them with family and friends too if you would like to.
The worship service at Cumbernauld Old for this Sunday, Palm Sunday, is now available and can be viewed at https://vimeo.com/403656303.
There is no need to sign in to anything to watch; just click on the ‘play’ icon to watch, listen and join in.
Please do let those family and friends you think might be interested that the service is now online, and feel free to share.
If you would like to, please do watch the service as close to 11am on Sunday morning as possible so we can all be together, even if we can’t see each other!
If you are online and on Facebook, please do like our page as it is regularly updated with news and reflections / readings. During Holy Week we will be producing worship material and posting those on our Facebook page, with special worship services for Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Day
