We are looking forward to welcoming the wonderfully-talented Bruadar Duo back to Cumbernauld Old on Friday 15th September for a concert of contemporary music from the 20th and 21st centuries.

It promises to be magical evening as they treat us to music from Romania and Wales, and with more than a nod to the Passing Seasons along the way.

The concert at Cumbernauld Old Parish Church starts at 7.00pm on Friday. and entry is by donation. Hope you can join us!

One Enchanted Evening!

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church was delighted to host the Bruadar Duo last week as part of their recent series of concerts and it’s safe to say they held us spell-bound by their music. Many thanks to Kieran (guitar) and Lynn (flute) for their wonderful playing of contemporary music from South America and the UK. It really was an evening to remember!

Here’s a selection of photos from what was a fantastic concert:

A Sparkling Lullaby

Cumbernauld Old Parish Church would like to offer a HUGE vote of thanks to Cumbernauld Musical Theatre Society for their wonderful fund-raising concert ‘Lullaby of Broadway‘ at the Forge Community Centre last Thursday.

It was one of these evenings where we were close to running out of superlatives: fabulous, magnificent, sparkling, fantastic, brilliant, and talented were only some of the words used to express our delight at the superb evening they presented for us.

The evening was a total sell-out and every single person there went home with a song (or two) in their hearts. So, once more, many, many thanks and ‘Haste Ye Back’

Burns’ Supper 2015

Cumbernauld Burns Club will provide their usual, entertaining dialogue, masterminded by Callum Cormack, our Chairman for the evening. Our own Janet Graham and David Boyle will provide excellent musical interludes and Anne Walker will provide her usual wit in defence of the ladies. You will also be served a first class meal! All in all, a great night, not to be missed.
